Bio
In 1988 Matthew Carter, Steve Bagley, Sean Taylor, and Brett Allen formed the band Reign.
Between 1988 and 1992, Reign toured the Southeastern United States, mostly playing concerts in Georgia, ranging from church camps to major festivals like Atlanta Fest. The band also opened for groups like The Newsboys and Jacob's Trouble.
In 1990, founding guitarist Brett Allen left the band to pursue other musical projects. Brett was replaced by Matthew's brother Rob, who also contributed as a songwriter and helped the band discover a newer, heavier sound.
In 1992 the band broke up.
After breaking up, the members went into different directions but remain friends and ocassionally found opportunities to play together again.
Matt Carter did a few concerts as a pop songwriter and soloist (Sean and his wife, Lisa backed him up as vocalists a few times), but later joined Jacob's Troubles' former front man Jerry Davidson in the band Sideways 8 until it disbanded. Matt currently leads worship at his home church.
Rob Carter did some solo recording, but primarily focuses on time with his family.
Steve Bagley left music to become a local hero as a police officer and family man.
Sean Taylor joined various church praise teams in his quest to discover a grace-filled and grace-focused church, and upon doing so, joined the praise team there and has remained to this day. He currently leads worship at his home church, Lakeland Community Church, and performs and writes music with the band Nothing Regal (the house band for the church, but the band pursues gigs outside the church as well), as well as writing and recording electronic garage rock as st:Traxx and ocassionally recording as Blue Mercy Cafe.

Well, the music of Reign is back, anyway. The band may have broken up back in 1992, but thanks to the beauty of Fuzz.com, the songs can still live on.
Enjoy.
